This set of four grits of sand paper I use with the "Flex wheel" if I want to take the meat off the gourd and are using the "Gourd Dye" or other dye, stain, inks to create a marbled look.  I start with the roughest and move through the sand paper, applying dye/color at each new grit.  Be sure and let the color dry completely before adding more.  I also use this with my White firm wheel on the Microlux sander to flatten a gourd to stand straight.
